How much do construction workers make in Chicagoland?

Correct, non-union and no prevailing wages. ~75% of our clients are HOAs and condo associations, which is a nice and lucrative sweet spot between single family residential (which tends to be a fucking nightmare) and commercial. The remaining 25% is commercial (warehouses, loading docks).

We are a pure-play removal and replacement shop, no new construction. I’ve been pretty constantly poaching union guys (especially this season). Pay experienced finishers $45+ an hour with PTO and health insurance. My foremen get paid $60+/hr. Lots of hours including overtime (60+ average per week). Try my best to keep my guys well compensated and think I’m well ahead of the curve relative to my immediate competition. Always looking to continue growing and learning more about the industry. This season’s been a grinder though for sure
