the problems with comic time vs real world time and trans stuff

You went out of your way to argue with me about your opinion.

Uh, yeah, Reddit is a discussion forum where we discuss, among other things, our opinions. You stated that a character's comment was transphobic, I explained that I disagreed with that assessment, as one is wont to do in an open forum discussion.

I gave you my opinion, and I'm saying you're immature because you aren't trying to discuss anything.

No, you're saying I'm immature because my opinion differs from yours. I tried to explain why I felt that way and your response could be paraphrased as "I don't want to talk about it. If you can't see my side of it, you're immature and can't be an adult." You were the one that, right off the bat, stated your opinion immediately after saying you didn't want to discuss anything, and now you're accusing me of not wanting to discuss anything.

I even said that, but it's clear you aren't reading my comments. You're just skimming them as if you know what they say, and your mind was made up before this even started. That's what's immature.

I read them at length, in full. I know what they say. I already told you (more than once) that I understand your point of view, but that in this specific instance, in the context of this event that happened in the comic, I do not believe that Marten's statement was transphobic. I also explained why. You disagree with my reasoning, and that's fine, I'm not belaboring that point, you are.

I am, and have been, only interested in discussing the comic. I tried to meet you halfway, and you keep getting upset with me. I'm sorry that I tried, and I really don't understand your problem.

See, now you're just being passive-aggressive. You know exactly why I'm irritated. I'm irritated because you seem to think that anyone that doesn't agree with your opinion is a moron. You literally called me a moron for disagreeing with your opinion.
