A Proposition

I didn't really sleep that night, but I did sleep last night. Managed to lucid dream in the middle of the night.

The dream started with me working as an assistant in some kind of biotech lab, currently in a room with a couple of 5'8'' middle-aged men in labcoats. Pink Floyd's "Waiting for the Worms" came on, and they started getting really excited about something. A bit after this I realized I was dreaming and the lucid part started.

Realizing I was dreaming, I started paying more attention to what was going on. And sure enough, the two older man in the lab were excited because they had been working on a highly-contagious virus that sterilizes people and can be programmed to only attack specific ethnicities. I was not okay with this.

I remembered that the whole reason I wanted to lucid dream was this thread, so I bit my hand and started to transform.

  • First off, that shit hurt! Biting your hand hard enough to draw blood is no joke.

  • Second off, the transformation kind of felt like having blankets thrown over you. You know, how when a sibling or significant other is playing around and throws a blanket over your head. There was also a slight feeling of things growing under my feet, but I couldn't focus on it.

  • The "blankets" started off light but they piled up really quickly, and their collective weight started getting serious. It would've made me feel claustrophobic, but the "blankets" were also warm and wet in a comforting kind of way. Usually wet blankets/clothes are really heavy, but these were still light, at least individually.

  • When I started transforming, I started hearing the two men's cursing and shouting, which was soon replaced by just panicked yelling. As the transformation went on, their yells started getting dimmer. In fact, all sound felt more and more dampened, until I couldn't hear anything at all other than what sounded like a loud pulse.

  • I transformed with my eyes still open, and very quickly, my vision went dark from all the "blankets" thrown over my eyes. After a few seconds, when the previous two bullet points came to a climax (feeling really weighed down; can't hear anything other than a pulse), I decided that enough time had passed and I opened my eyes. Except that when I did so, I didn't open my own eyes, I opened my titan's eyes. Right after I got my vision back, my hearing also came back (titan's ears, not my own), and my proprioception shifted to my titan body. I tried to move an arm, and my titan's arm moved.

  • The song had kept playing throughout the entire dream. Right at this point it got to the "Would you like to see Britannia rule again, my friend?" line, and I thought "No, I really wouldn't, and I'm tired of the fascist theme of this dream, so stop that fucking music." In retrospect, me acting that aware made my body wake up sooner than it otherwise would have. But I really didn't feel like having a background soundtrack.

  • I looked around, and it was near sunset in some kind of military complex. Everything from my waist down was stuck in some kind of rubble and it felt like my feet were definitely underground. I tried jumping; it was a bad idea. I would have fallen over had my feet not still been immobilized from the rubble. So I started disentangling myself more slowly. A bunch of military trucks were starting to surround me, as well as a bunch of armed people on foot.

  • I tried saying "Hey guys, what's up?", but the only thing that came out was one of Eren's autistic screeches. I was very disappointed. So disappointed that I woke up.
