Protestant Pastor struggling with Ministry Calling

Some thoughts from a convert, and Orthodox seminarian.

Seek truth first before seeking authority. If your draw to Orthodoxy would be over if you couldn't be a priest, you're in it for entirely the wrong reasons.

That said, going to seminary would require at least 1 year in an Orthodox Parish, and would require the blessing of your priest and your Bishop. Any undergrad degree is fine. Greek and Hebrew language classes you've taken at seminary will carry over. Depending on the diocese, you may receive funding from the church to attend, Greeks are pretty good about that.

Depending on where the tattoos are, it might cause issues with parishioners but shouldn't affect how your priest or Bishop see you. Where are they placed?
