To Equip Gear, you can look at the three bigger boxes above the six smaller boxes. Some of them are looks chained, (unlock via LB)

The step banner depends on the banner. Basically, every step have something special in it if you pull at that step. Check the info on each banner ( magnify glass icon). Some guarantees one unit of three, some give selectors, etc,

10% 5, 20% 4. 70% 3. Its alright, albeit a bit harder to get your specific 5 unit seeing the 5* roster keep increasing.

If you want to get Nefertiti (she is good), you can 3 step (4500 gems) one of the banner (check the info) for a chance to get her, and rerroll if you didn’t get her. Or, just pull all 1st step (most banner have 500 gem cost for 1st step. Normally it was 2500 gems)

Know what you are spending, and you will be set up nicely in the long term, the gems does come regularly, 370 gems per week if you are smart.
