Quick Questions and New Player Resources Thread

My friends and I walked around town all day today with the express purpose of looking for places with pokemon cards in stock to open for fun (Walgreens, Gamestop, Walmart, etc) and they had all been out of stock. We really weren't interested in paying for the inflated prices online (or buying from sketchy websites) and were looking for essentially MSRP prices in person.

My question essentially is are there any in-person stores that usually have pokemon cards stocked currently or if I can get a time estimation of when the demand will settle down and supply will normalize. I've done some research, and I've found sources claiming that it will end after the pandemic (which hopefully is happening before August) but I'm just looking for more input from those who know more than I do.
