Wrong. Dishonesty and smugness will embarrass you more than your other traits when you get called out for your foolishness-- be careful.
Two months later, Trump Management, represented by Roy M. Cohn, turned around and sued the United States government for $100 million (roughly $500 million in today’s terms), asserting that the charges were “irresponsible and baseless.”
“Mr. Trump accused the Justice Department of singling out his corporation because it was a large one, and because the government was trying to force it to rent to welfare recipients,” Trump Management eventually reached an agreement with the New York Urban League in 1975. “Trump Management noted that the agreement did not constitute an admission of guilt.” And, “Mr. Trump himself said he was satisfied that the agreement did not ‘compel the Trump organization to accept persons on welfare as tenants unless as qualified as any other tenant’.”
Trump was not held personally liable for the violations of his hotel, and there is no indication that he was ever questioned by state officials as part of their investigation. “I have heard he is a high roller, but if he was standing here in front of me, I wouldn’t know what he looked like, "During the years I very successfully ran the casino business, I knew many high rollers. I assume Mr. LiButti was one of them, but I don’t recognize the name.”
John R. O`Donnell, Trump's accuser, is nothing more than a disgruntled employee who wanted to make money off of him like so many others.
The Times, that same week, reported, “The youths who raped and savagely beat a young investment banker as she jogged in Central Park Wednesday night were part of a loosely organized gang of 32 schoolboys whose random, motiveless assaults terrorized at least eight other people over nearly two hours, senior police investigators said yesterday.” And: “she was raped by at least 4 of the 12 boys, Chief Colangelo said.” The five schoolboys who were eventually tried—Antron McCray, Kevin Richardson, Yusef Salaam, Raymond Santana, and Kharey Wise—were all black or Hispanic.
TRUMP: “How can our great society tolerate the continued brutalization of its citizens by crazed misfits? Criminals must be told that their CIVIL LIBERTIES END WHEN AN ATTACK ON OUR SAFETY BEGINS!” And his headline suggested what ought to be done with them:
