/r/AMD Tech Support Megathread - H1 2022 Edition

Summary of issue:

Honestly not just one issue, but the Adrenalin Drivers have seemingly been causing issues for months now. I’ve tried different driver versions and I have a fully up to date system otherwise. I even switched to a new CPU/mobo recently, yet the issues persist.

I’ll get random driver crashes, with the AMD Bug Reporter Tool showing up. It’ll happen during gameplay, but also just when browsing the web using Firefox.

Lately, when I turn my monitors off and back on, I’ll also experience heavy stuttering. Like YouTube videos will play at 10fps at most, dragging windows across the screen will look sluggish, etc. That gets fixed when I either reboot or temporarily enable Eyefinity and then turn it off again (seems to act like a driver reset).

Today when I turned on my PC, my second monitor wouldn’t get any display input at all. Tried different cables and connecting the monitor to my laptop (worked fine). The only fix was switching to a different driver version.

So these all seem like driver issues, but they’re getting worse and worse. Is there any way to fix this, or could this mean that my card is dying?
