It's the /r/melbourne random discussion thread [Sunday 24/06/2018]

Don’t want to make a post, but what’s it like entering the professional job market here? I see all these advertisements on LinkedIn Jobs, Seek, ect for things like admin support and Personal Assistants. What surprises me most is that a lot of them SEEM like entry level jobs for someone with a good lick around a few work environments.

I’m pretty sick of shifting between hospo and warehousing, especially with a Bachelors in Art and xp in Admin, so wondering about people’s experiences moving from normie jobs to the business-casual environment. Do opportunities actually exist, or do they want amazing top-of-the-line peeps with 5 years in this and that with near perfect applications?
