Is it possible to learn maya, max, all the animation softwares like houdini for movies and nuke, ae etc for games in a moderate amount of time to work with if your enot visiting a school? I heard payment in the game industry sucks. However, i want to work independent of companies and translate my ideas into reality. For that reason i need to know all the software for gaming and know how to work with it properly (max, nuke, ae etc.) Now that im on tut 20 of Arrimus 3d i feel like it is a reaaally sloppy progression and i wonder when i learn to actually make a game. Then on the other hand, i also wish to make movies. For that reason i need to know maya, houdini etc. And thats another huge brick of knowledge to consume... Would it speed one up to study 3d art/ movie creation at a university? Because you know.. i really have concerns if i have the time to learn working with UE4 and programing languages. At some point you need to earn some money whilst progressing. And learning to work with a engine might be quite difficult whilst optimizing your maya at a movie company
