Lal Singh Chadda (LSC) came on 11th August. Aamir expected this to be a game changer and bring love for the character and his "Bharat Jodo Yatra (journey). It backfired.

Rahul Gandhi started his journey (similar to Lal Singh or originally Forrest Gump) on 7th September. Almost 4 weeks after LSC, must have thought by this time everyone's aware of what's he gonna do. A visual representation of it have already been seen by everyone through LSC. It got a dud response same as the LSC.

Interestingly both the protagonist are special child's. Someone in the Congress strategy department is either overlooking basics or just trolling Gandhi's unintentionally!
