Randia, what are your tinder stories? [AskIndia]

I find conversing with random women on Tinder to be a good stress-reliever from the humdrum of grad school. I reside in Houston so I am not sure if it helps with OP's question. However, I am still an Indian citizen so that should matter right? I've been using it for a few weeks now. Gone on 2 dates so far, one an NRI girl and one American undergrad from my uni. I am still in touch with both but the second one is turning out to be a good friend as we share lot of similar interests.

I swipe only in a period of 10-15 min at the start of each day and not take part in it for the rest of the day. I think what this does is make the profiles of all girls who swiped right show up first. I end up getting 5-6 matches per day. Got matched with American girls more than Indians/NRIs, which is expected. Out of the 6-7, 1-2 actually partake in conversation. It is rarely the girl initiating the convo. Usually, if I find something interesting on their profile or a similar interest then I ask a cheeky question. A few conversations ran really deep for more than a few days ranging from Netflix addiction to correlation between an individual's ability to detect sarcasm in a group conversation and the individual's foreignness to the language of conversation. Most American girls are pretty fucking impressed with my English skills. Thanks British Raj! Usually, by the end of one or two days, I propose meeting out for dinner or movie etc. This usually takes the conversation out of Tinder.

My profile includes my current interests/activities that I pursue in the weekends etc., few pictures showing me travel around the world.

Fun fact: I actually found this Texan chick who is a die-hard Man United fan like me. We were planning to go watch the final league game at a local pub this weekend. However, United fucking lost yesterday and the excitement of the potential date died off :(
