I saw an immunologist for EBV and some elevated immunoglobulin once who told me all of my labs were lab error and spent 20 minutes talking up her “friend” who was a functional medicine provider and said I really should see her for my symptoms. Desperate, I saw the friend. This woman told me all of my symptoms were from chronic Lyme. I fell for it and spent THOUSANDS of dollars on alternative Lyme testing, which obviously came back positive because it always does. I was then conned into idiotic treatments that also cost thousands of dollars. 2 years later I start feeling worse than ever and finally see a hematologist who I should have seen initially instead of the immunologist. Surprise suprise it’s not stupid Lyme and parasites.
