What is a healthy behavior that people shame others for?

My in-laws complain about me not eating enough during holidays, and it drives me crazy. I’m trying to lose weight, and I’m making good progress. I’m not doing anything unhealthy, just consuming more protein + vegetables and less sugar + carbs. Because of this, I get full more easily now. I will eat smaller portions, and I’m completely fine with it.

Everyone is like “you can relax, it’s not like you’re eating bad stuff every day.” Yeah, but when there’s some social/family event every couple weeks, no I cannot. I will not lose weight that way. Just let me eat a reasonable sized portion without stuffing my face!

But they also have the nerve to tell me I look like I’m getting fat. What is it that you expect me to do, exactly? People expect women to be thin but then get mad at us for eating salads…
