I will probably get down voted but I have decided to say this first I am not the type of reader who blindly support s the mc and i do not like pennylope not in the slightest, I admit both in her past lyf and current lyf her family members are really not the type one would ask for... she truly is un lucky in that respect

but does it truly give her all the sympathy she gets from the readers in truest sense she is not the most tragic character in this story

the most tragic person is yvvone, yeah I know everyone must be surprised why my opinion is like this

but you see I also don't hate Derrick like everyone, I guess I am weird, if you people have read novel you will probably remember the scene how actually yvvone was lost, for me it was gut wrenching to read that part knowing that they are going to lose her.. forever their real sister, the reason why actual villain could take over yvvone's body was because she saw her Duke father adopting penny from the streets,

the reason our villain lady was able to mind control Derrick to ruin penny 's party was because out of all of them is is the one with most guilt that they lost yvvone that day because his sister told her that she wanted to see festival he took them all, and snuck out of their house and they lost her he bought her a mirror which was cursed and that is how she got possessed, he was the oldest

later in the story to defeat main villain she will destroy yvvone's body that's why yvvone won't be able to come back to her world

I know none of this is penny ' s fault but still the symphathy of readers of this sub Reddit should not be so one sided

Derrick is bad but its just the author wants people to hate him like those brother s from real world
