I honestly thought that at first, but in the more recent chapters, especially in the scene where while thinking about his lack of emotion in commiting mass murder and basically being like "I'm relieved I don't feel guilty because a god wouldn't feel guilt" he seems more like a child who never grew out of their role playing phase because he never got a chance to experience the real world.

It seemed similar to a kid going like "I need to do this because that's what a 'real' superhero would do". Not to mention lots of kids dream of become ruler of the world; "God", but as you grow up you learn that that's not how the real world works. A mature adult realizes that they should use the skills and talents they have to contribute to society in a meaningful way, and thoes who act otherwise are deemed immature and naive.

Eros may be a once in a millenia genius, but even if he has a close grasp on gods "power", to strive to become a god himself seems to show more that he's just a spoiled kid who's never been told no before. But I think that's still far more character depth than most villains have in otome Isekai's anyway.
