Oh man, I'm so late to this but I wanna share. I catfished perverts as a hobby when I was little.

A long time ago, when "a/s/l pls" was a thing and having a picture on the internet was a luxury, back in the day of dial-up internet and mIRC, I was 13.

Me and a friend of mine spend all our nights on mIRC, in sercret from our parents. 80% of everything that went down there was men trying to talk us up for sex. I just had to say 13f and I could feel their interest "peak" over the dial-up tone.

What my friend and I did for weekend entertainment was to arrange dates with the men at the same spot, at the same time on Saturday afternoon. We gave descriptions of ourselves as with long blond hair, wearing dresses, blue eyes, the perfect little dolls. That was very far away from the truth.

We asked them to hold a piece of paper with their nick so we can tell who they were. The meeting spot was a place where everybody met up in my city, so there were a lot of people.

Saturday afternoon rolls around, me and my friend go and sit on a bench to the side and start observing. Over the course of 2-3 years we've seen probably hundreds of creeps getting extremely pissed/annoyed/ashamed. All of them were 35+ in age. Some of them saw other people, just like them sitting there with pieces of paper and waiting for nobody. You could see how the life drained from their face and how the shame built up.

We never revealed who we were to them.

What I've learned from this experience is that there are many perverts in this world and the majority of them look like respectable people, not "neck-beard, inbred, freakazoids" that the TV shows portrayed them as.
