Redditors who've continued their passion of traveling after they have kids how do you do it?

I have a 7 month old and he has already been on 11 flights! We live outside of Washington DC, and he’s been to Boston, Cape Cod, Nantucket, Disney World, NYC, Charlotte NC, the Netherlands, Austria, Germany, and the Czech Republic. We will be headed to Iceland next month! I am a strong believer in continuing to travel with kids. I want my son to experience the world and be accepting of others. I also believe that continuing to travel will encourage my kid to be more flexible. Travel with a kid is harder, but not as much as you’d expect. You just have to move a little slower than you used to. I usually try and only plan one thing a day, and the rest of the day we can explore or go back to the hotel for a nap. Budget wise- kids under 2 are free on planes so that really hasn’t impacted our budget. If anything, buying baby travel items and booking a hotel in the center of the city (which is generally more expensive) are the biggest impacts to budget. I’m a firm believer in doing whatever you can to make travel with a kid as stress free as it can be, so some things are worth the extra money.
