Mob is constantly thinking about whether he’s going to go too far and the situation only exacerbated those feelings. I didn’t mean Claw was purposely trying to bait out ??? by pushing Mob to the limit. I meant that they were fighting to kill or capture and something happening to Ritsu or maybe even Teru would have been enough to bring ??? out and Mob was afraid of that. Mob had been knocked out by that one guy so it wasn’t actually reasonable for him to assume beyond any doubts that he could handle that situation without becoming ??? He was going to give in to the murderous intent as much as he didn’t want to like you said since Ritsu and Teru were getting beat.
No one said anything about it being unreasonable for him to have murderous intent, I too was questioning why he didn’t fight back when he definitely has the power to. But he’s a child and an extremely emotionally stunted one at that. He can’t just have the composure we have from behind the screen to make decisions that could end up possibly killing someone on accident. He is afraid that it is necessary for him to fight to kill and he knows when that happens, he loses control of himself and becomes 100 times more dangerous than anything Claw throws at them.
Reigen knows better than anyone that this creates a lot of inner turmoil for Mob which is why he was so adamantly suggesting they run away. Reigen doesn’t know the full extent of Mob’s powers either so his concern was keeping Mob from giving in to murderous intent because it’s just not right to put that responsibility on a child and Reigen has enough guilt towards Mob as is. This demonstrates his limited understanding of Mob. I see the granting of power to Reigen in this moment as Mob still fighting the fight, but no longer feeling murderous intent because he is assured that with Reigen guiding his actions he will be
Funny you say I haven’t dealt with bullies, it’s actually pretty angering to me for you to assume that. I literally have pulled an adult into a situation that I had already tried to resolve on my own when I was a kid and you know what? I got along with the guy after that pretty well once everything was aired out. His father stated he was being bullied too by people in his soccer team in a similar way and he stopped doing it. Some other random kid who wasn’t even in the situation said I was a snitch, guess what most of the kids didn’t give a shit because he was a little bitch that no one liked. Not all schools are the same. I’m sorry you didn’t get a “fairy tale” resolution in whatever situation you’re basing your conclusion on but you can fuck off if you think you can tell me how my lived life experience was supposed to go.
