Now I am imagining a writing prompt where Hermione accidentally kills Rita while trying to catch her, and has an internal crisis on whether to tell people or hide it for fear of going to prison and has to decide whether to confide in her best friends. Perhaps she ends up going crazy or perhaps becomes deathly afraid of bugs or super protective of all animals for fear of accidentally killing in some way another wizard/witch animagus. Perhaps she realizes she liked killing Rita and becomes a dark witch. Perhaps she takes over Rita's life in secret in some way, writing from a distance and submitting the work in Rita's name.
