Is this the right sub for a working copywriter?

Totally agree and considering leaving this sub for the same reasons. It feels like every other post is ‘I’m new to copywriting and have zero experience - how do I get experience?’

We all have to start somewhere but these are questions that should be answered in a single thread and posting rules tweaked to reflect this.

It also has a very ad-heavy slant, like the only thing we do is write email or social media sales copy.

As the owner of a copywriting business, in the past week I’ve written video scripts, lead magnet guides, lead nurturing sequences, a digital brochure, SEO home page copy and three blogs - copywriting is not just about the hard sell of an ad.

Anything that pushes courses - unless they’re from a professional body - is also a massive turn off.
