Robert Mueller, Former F.B.I. Director, Named Special Counsel for Russia Investigation

I shared this elsewhere but realized after submitting that the thread was a day old (and most of us all know how reddit works). I'm not one to have much of an ego these days but I thought these words of mine were worth discussion (I didn't feel r/politics, news, worldnews, etc would be appropriate, I hope you folks here don't judge me harsher than I already do to myself):

Never assume those who obtain power and potentially absolute power are not capable of merely acting the fool. Tinfoil hats aside, some of the worst rulers in history were charismatic but they have yet to succeed as the past details. What happens when those in power see speaking to the idiocy of the masses (we all possess that idgit, perhaps at varying degrees depending on upbringing, luck, etc) as a means to absorb mass appeal.

Trump may seem like he is capable of sinking his own ship, but keep in mind he still holds the keys to the white house. Despite all the brazen & outright unbelievable stunts he has pulled going back to during the election, don't assume too quickly that he is simply a fortune fool. Fool us once, shame on him, fool us how many times now? Shame on us. Let's put aside our egos thinking we are smarter than this man. Hell, everyone likes to believe his Twitter feed is the gateway to his mind but let's be realistic, how can we be so certain he's the one typing that crap to begin with.

Trump, USA's trojan horse? Putin, Trump's whisper to his ear. China, near absolute population control. India, USA's brain drain, a wolf in sheep's clothing? North Korea, the world stage's easy distraction?

The Middle East, the abused scape goat; terrorism we helped create with our wars, meddling & neglect. The weapons industry profits, manufacturing industries profit (lithium), the pharmaceutical industries profit (poppy). Then there's the long term of double dipping by having such decimated countries having to be reconstructed, both structurally, economically & socially. There's a lot to be manipulated & gained there financially along the way & beyond.

Just some food for thought. I'm certainly not saying anything derogatory towards any race, nationality, religion, etc. The USA's best quality, without a doubt, is that it's a melting pot of cultural diversity. I couldn't be more proud to be an American yet so sad to be a human sharing such bleak potential with our brothers & sisters abroad.

That being said, I still have hope. I used to be unbearably pessimistic yet for some reason I get the feeling people are waking up from the slumber our realities have tranquilized us with. Don't hesitate to share the love you have left with family, friends & strangers. Putting down our egos may just be our only weapon left to correct the record against those whos own egos have blinded them from what it truly means to be human. Kind.

Also worth noting, I don't feel these thoughts are absolute, that's where I hope you all come in to play. I hope to have as much of a discussion as possible but it will most likely be after getting some R&R from a long, stressful day at work.
