Or a typical decent-quality $300 5-channel running 50x4 to your front and rears (which are only $100/pair speakers) and a $300 sub off 300 watts? The cost for both theoretical setups is $800, but with the 4-channel, your MAIN (front stereo) speakers are $300 and get 100 watts. With the 5-channel setup, your MAIN speakers are $100 and get 50 watts. Sure your back speakers will sound a little better with the 5-channel, but you really shouldn't be listening to those anyway.
