Salary in Accounting

70-80 is way too high for no designation

What kind of role are you thinking?

Articling students in public practice are looking at 45 or so to start, but you’re not getting past 55 until you’re a senior. Any manager role will be reserved for CPAs

Industry - depends on the role again. If you want to do A/P or A/R for some big company, expect 43-46. Accountant/senior accountant will get to around 60-65. But they’ll probably only give you that role if you’re on track for designation. Supervisors are looking at 80+. Controllers 120+ but it depends on the size of the company. These are albertan amounts mind you, they’re lower throughout the country.

You need a designation to make real money in this profession. Get on that. Find a company that will pay for you to go through the program while you work.
