Saudi offers to build 200 mosques in Germany for Syrian refugees.

A man was only allowed to have multiple wives if he was able to care for all of them equally

Yeah so polygamy is legal in Islam, it's not in Canada no matter how rich you are.

We respect and obey the laws of the nation we are in.

Which one is better ? What happens if you become a majority in the country you emigrated to ?

Nowadays, it is rare or relatively nonexistant outside of Gulf or African countries.

What a load of bullshit.

Does the death penalty still exist? Yes but that doesn't mean that it is used in the same context as it was back then.

Oh, so it's all fine and dandy then, to kill people for leaving the religion. See guys ? We don't do it for the same reasons !

Adultery was and still is punished harshly because it's considered breaking the greatest promise you can make between two people. Do I agree with it? No, but it is what it is and is rarely practiced nowadays.

It is very much practiced and it is also the reason why so many women won't come forward if they are raped. The rapist just has to claim it was consensual and the woman risks her life for adultery, especially because islam says women's words are only worth half of a man's. Again, it does not seem to be compatible with Canadian gender equality laws.

You say you reject it.

In the very beginning of Surat An-Nur, it is stated that: (The woman and the man guilty of adultery or fornication,- flog each of them with a hundred stripes: Let not compassion move you in their case, in a matter prescribed by Allah, if ye believe in Allah and the Last Day: and let a party of the Believers witness their punishment) (An-Nur 24: 2).

You reject this ? Allah was wrong ?

As for the marriage to Aisha, it was a norm back in that time period due to life expectancy and culture

Yes, a very immoral and fucked up norm. That Muhammad followed. So you reject the claim that he was the perfect version of a human being ? That he is a moral example to follow ?

I understand perfectly what you're saying, but the thing is, it does not make any sense. You reject many parts of islam, that's pretty obvious.

So the short answer is, for a truly integrated citizen, that Canadian law is always superior to religious law. Anyone who disagrees with that should leave in a theocracy not a secular state.
