I saw this on Instagram. Was there anything at conference that was so groundbreaking “the adversary” wouldn’t want it shared? This is so dramatic.

I would not want to be a Bishop or lay leader with all the complex state laws without that help.

Here are three questions, and they're not trick questions, they have definite answers: 1) Are the church's legal interests necessarily the same interests as the bishop? 2) With the Church as its client, is Kirton McConkie obligated to look after the interests of the bishop, or are they obligated to look after the interests of the church? 3) Kirton McConkie is centered in Utah, and the help line is not staffed by lawyers admitted to the bars of all states, nor are those lawyers necessarily specialized in sex crimes. Given this lack of qualifications, is their advice as valuable as the criminal situation merits?

But again, this is really all irrelevant, because none of this stops abuse, which is what the whole discussion regarding the help line is about.
