You and your family are living in a carefully laid trap. The social pressure to remain in the church for a variety of psychological reasons has a far greater hold on their minds than truth and logic.

I know how frustrating it is to try and reason with family members who have zero interest in any information about the church that threatens to expose the fact that they have been manipulated.

What is even more challenging is that Jesus and the Bible are true but Joe Smith used peoples ignorance and the truth of the Bible to lure them in order to get money and power over them.

In my experience when the hypocrisy of the church finally drove me out I ended up hating everything including Jesus and was an atheist for decades.

Since I left Jesus as well as the church my life suffered and so this played right into the mindset that the church is good and this made my family bond more against me.

The grand irony is that after years of pain I found the Truth of Jesus by reading the Bible and praying and totally saved my life and when I shared my born again experience with them they had no idea what I was talking about. All they wanted was for me to go to the temple.

My TL;DR is this: Read and believe the Bible. Jesus is the Way the Truth and the Life. We only need Jesus. His believers are His church.
