I think they proved that most its user base is so addicted to this game that they are willing to sit through a mode they hate just to collect some rewards. I see so many people crying who show clear signs of FoMO. At this point they have their finger wrapped around most people and can pretty much release whatever they want and people will do it. This is not the end of PvP dailies, wait till it becomes a full on daily mode like Arena or Raids and gives the best possible rewards in a day. Why do you think the sim feature is coming for blitz and raids? They are using this idea of "reducing low quality screen time" to mask the fact they just allocating most of that time to PvP. With iso-8 fast approaching PvP is going to make them triple the money that blitz or raids ever did and this event just proved that. Yes the rewards this time were basically free but wait till similar rewards are released for finishing at the top of ladder rankings in a season.
