Auras are technically seizures, right? My auras actually consist of arm jerking. But they keep going once I'm in the seizure, even though the auras are the same thing. I have had arm jerking before grand mal too. The more severe the seizure will be, the more spread out the jerking. The left side of my body kept twisting me into the siderail and I don't know what happened after that because I was 100% unaware.

My photosensitivity has produced weaker but still noticeable seizure-like movements with impaired awareness with flashes that aren't at the particular frequency that caused the grand mal.

I won't draw any conclusion from that but both experiences are debilitating. Luckily with medication I've now gotten to the point I just feel ill and exhausted when I look at the wrong light.
