Selling GPDWIN 2 on eBay: avoiding scams?

It really isn't worth the risk.

I'll share my experience of selling my Win 1 - I sold it to a guy in Spain. Right before shipping, after I formatted it and packaged it, he requested to cancel the sale and asked for a refund because he was afraid of customs (red flag number 1). Since I was just about to ship it I refused, but assured him that I won't declare the value of the item and he accepted (red flag number 2). I paid for a fast, reliable shipment, it reached the buyer in 4 days, he signed the package, and an hour later he took a picture of the empty packaging (without the GPD WIn) and opened an "Item Nor Received" eBay claim.

I had all the documentation, proof that he properly received the item, postage records that the item wasn't harmed and reached its destination in time, and even proof that he tried to sell my GPD Win in a different website. eBay assured me that I have nothing to worry about and the case is clearly cut and dry in my favor.

And they simply accepted the buyer's claim and refunded him.

The word "furious" wasn't anywhere close to how I felt about this injustice. I filed a small claims court against eBay in my country, against the buyer, filed a formal police report in his country of origin, you name it. Luckily it had a happy ending - eBay decided to settle outside of court and paid me my GPD Win 1 worth, and the buyer was so worried that he later shipped my GPD Win 1 back to me, so I still have my GPD Win 1 and it's money's worth (which I bought my Win 2 with).

Was it worth it? Far from it. I'm **never** selling ANYTHING online again, let alone on eBay. And I have a newly found respect for the poor eBay and Amazon sellers.
