Eredivisie's response to La Liga holding some matches in the USA: "Hola La Liga. We'll just stay in the Netherlands for now. FC Groningen fans needing to travel 6530 km is more than enough"

Ok so you think you shouldn't, at all, be in contact or have exposure to anything far away from you.... hmmm interesting, but does that mean that every team should ONLY sign players that were born and grew up in their area, Bilbao style? Does that also mean that all African players should only play with their African countries? How about South American ones? Do we take it a bit too far and forbid anything not coming from your local town like movies/tv, music... and all other cultural stuff because you have "no attachment" to it?

Barcelona is an international team that has players and fans from all around the world, no need for r/gatekeeping m8, just cuz you were born close to a team doesn't necessarily mean you should unconditionally support it and you're not at the slightest "special" or more "real" than others who despite being far from it, they love them and identify strongly with them.
