Should I install Arch Linux, Debian, or Qubes OS?

QubesOS is a very intense OS. It needs like top of the line specs even with a 6 core 12 threads cpu it took my laptop almost half an hour to complete the install granted my laptop has a U series processor. It needs a lot of ram as well like minimum 16GB to get the best of it. You can obviously run it on a pc with lower specs but it will severely limit the OS to work at it's best performance. That being said,

Learn how to install Arch linux it gives an idea of what are the basic components a linux kernel needs to work as a whole OS since Linux is just a kernel. Also, learn what each folder has in them.

NixOS is a completely different type of distro compared to QubesOS. It's not necessary but if you really want to then you can learn about NixOS on their website.

Documentation are your best friends, especially the arch wiki. Depending on the distro you install make sure you check the documentation on their website as well not just the arch wiki.
