I think this show might be the final push he needed to drop Winds [after Fire & Blood 2 of course]. Last time he dropped a book [Dance] was GoT S1 btw

I know I know... "When the Sun rises in the West..." and all that. Like i mentioned the last time he dropped was when GoT originally premiered.

My theory is this: a 10 year break isn't too crazy when u realize he's been working on ASOIAF since '91. [That's 30 years!] No matter how much you love something/someone redundancy can always creep in. He's worked on so many other things in that period and i've noticed him slowly gravitating back to the world of westeros/planetos with World of Ice & Fire 1 & 2 and his overwhelming support for HOTD [He posted about Cristian Cole's casting!]

The abysmal collapse of GoT didn't help either. He's obviously trying to distsnce himself from all that. New Series. New Fans. Rekindled interests. Sounds rational to end the year [2022] with a blast
