I don't know how you infer that. Sometimes actually producing meaningful, helpful change in the world requires rational, evidence based thinking rather than letting your emotional reactions guide your judgment.

It is a well established scientific principle that you cannot make reliable inferences for large populations based on anecdotes. And, to be honest, I dont think youre interpreting what happened to your friends accurately. From what youve said here, even uf they had not had access to clean needles, they would have still been addicts and would have been just as likely to overdose. I think youre just looking for an outside factor to blame for the tragedy.
