So I need help determining how delusional my mom is and how to even respond to her. I sent this article on the topic to my mom (who is unfortunately very conservative) and she said:
"This is why you have to do your own research and validation. Read this article. Big difference between conducting an annual survey versus "registering political views". Any balanced treatment of the topic would highlight the fact that conservative students are being targeted on college campuses and treated in a manner you would expect any oppressed group to be treated. The propaganda media suppresses those stories. The left is so afraid of DeSantis because he upholds the Constitution. Everyone is flooding into the state right now, it's unreal. Listen to what he actually says about the legislation. I'm not sure if this is common knowledge but China has been pouring millions of dollars into our colleges and universities (heard of the Confucius Institute?) In exchange they have a great deal of influence over the politics of these schools and the professors are all (most) leftists who are indoctrinating our students. This is a big fucking deal. They are following the step by step of a communist takeover. Without firing a shot, they infiltrate from the inside."
