Springer Recommendations and Pellet Physics Questions

Thanks for the Walther suggestion. I'll read about it. I was hoping to stay with gas pistons, reading about how they tend to not be as loud and are not as hold sensitive as spring based break barrels. On paper is one thing, but is the difference between a gas and spring piston that noticeable?

And thanks for the scope suggestion, too. I was thinking of getting a cheap scope since I'm shooting relatively close and it's my first air rifle. I was eyeing the CVlife 2.5-10 magnification scope. I know you get what you pay for, and that laser seems like a gimmick, but it's only like $40 from Amazon.

And I didn't even think about the stock affecting the sound! I live on an acre of land not too urban, but not too rural, either. So I was thinking the quieter, the better as to not be a nuisance. Although, I do have a neighbor who I've seen shoot crabapples out of a tree in his front yard with a handgun on one or two occasions over the years. But maybe I won't rule out the wood stocks. I suppose the added weight of the wood stocks would help with the artillery hold stability, right?
