Stalin’s starved millions: Anne Applebaum uncovers full horror of Ukraine famine

There is one more aspect of the story you guys from WE and America need to know. During 20th there was a program in USSR called NEP (new economical policy, or something like that). Basically it allowed some form of entrepreneurship so farmers were able to have private lands, hire people and so on.

So during collectivisation with ending of NEP this kind of people was the first and main target. They were killed, sent to camps and so on.

You all saw the difference between people who create jobs and profits and people who patiently wait for someone (government) to make their life better. Now imagine what would happen to your country if the first group was basically wiped. It is sad to acknowledge but here we are in Ukraine children and grandchildren of those who never had initiative in their lives, a result of mass artificial selection. So next time you're going to write something like "haha, Ukraine the place where they can't change their corrupt government for 25 years" (I've read statements like this one before) you'll know the reason why. There are almost no people with initiative.
