I stopped working in order to dedicate myself to learning to code 60+ hours a week, advice / feedback on my self-study strategy much appreciated!

I wish I had that patience. I get so bored with the interactive tutorial platforms. It’s very tempting to just skip ahead. But then a question or activity will occur which requires the knowledge I skipped. And I don’t want to do that, so again it’s tempting to continue skipping. I usually don’t make it past a few lessons before I just ditch it all together. Not the best plan in terms of building a foundation lol. I think my biggest thing is reading. I’ve always struggled with reading. I can’t read silently, because I’ll just look at the words. I have to go slow and read out loud. All that being said, what’s helped me to stay on board at least a little is to practice everything I do learn. So, if I’m reading something about pointers in c++, opening up a .cpp file and trying it out while I’m reading has been super helpful. And then going further to answer my “well, what about this?” questions of curiosity has been helpful. I think the more errors I see, the better I get because I can find out why they occur. Whereas with lessons, I find that everything has been typically worked out ahead of time to where nothing goes wrong.
