A strange job offer

No it's not. An admin assistant shouldn't be heavily involved with other areas of the business unless specified.

I wasn't heavily involved - I was doing what was required of me every single day but making sure that I did it to the best of my ability. For example, I deal with locating money and I was asked to locate the moneys by the end of the week but I did it in a day and went out of my own way to be helpful and hardworking about it.

It looks like she's focusing on the things you're doing incorrectly, but at least your taking the steps to make sure you stay in line. As an admin assistant, you need to be a little bit more professional. Don't go on social media unless you're on a break, no matter how bored you get. If you have downtime, speak with your boss about how you can increase your workload and accept more responsibility. Better yet, focus on completing your tasks more accurately, rather than more quickly.

Since this, I stated that I do not do these things anymore and get my tasks done by the times required of me and with accuracy. Due to my naivety to begin with however, I was slightly wayward but my conduct has improved A LOT since then.

So your new boss/mentor gave you a load of material to help you out, and you're taking it negatively? For fuck's sake, stop playing the victim role. This person is trying to help you, whether your qualified for the position or not. Take the resources they're giving you and put them to use. Stop complaining.

I am not complaining! I am genuinely happy about my new job - I'm just uneasy within the company as there was someone who was so horrible who was promoted to a managerial position, and the fact that they tried to hire someone for a different role and then replace me with her instead. I have no problem with them saying this before their intentions to act on it, but it was before I even knew anything about it when they decided to approve on this. I felt like I was working really hard and doing what was required of me and didn't have a sufficient time frame for her to make such a rash decision.

ABOUT WHAT? The fact they're going out of their way to help you? Grow up. You have a real job, but you're acting like a child. The business world isn't always going to be nice to you. Grow a spine and do a good your best to do a good job every day.

About the fact that she didn't handle my new job offer in the best way, about the way that she's treated other staff who were too scared to tell senior management (including myself right now). She has not gone out of her own way to help me, she did not offer the best constructive criticism. She's supposedly got a degree in some kind of management but she doesn't act like it.

I am not acting like a child - I was seeking advice for unfair/harsh treatment. I am not in this for the easy ride. I have acknowledged that I was somewhat naive from the beginning but I do work really hard and do everything that is expected of me. I've seen people in the office behave in a very unprofessional way e.g. putting the phone down on transferred calls that they do not want because they can't be bothered, people sat there chatting for 20 minutes, people being rude to clients. I am not perfect but I am certainly not acting like a child simply because I wanted advice over the unfair treatment I've received and that others have received.
