Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, and the rest of the Justice League are going to die in April, with no return in sight.

To be fair to Bucky, he actually stayed dead a looooong time. Longer than most heroes have been around.

Jason Todd was also dead long enough for someone to be born and reach their last couple of years of high school before he returned.

But it's boring now. It has been for decades. I'm someone who doesn't care about spoilers in movies or books or whatever and anticipates stuff happening even though I know about it, but even I don't care anymore how or why heroes come back. Now it's just... "Yeah okay, whatever... Quelle surprise."

It's all bullshit anyway. There's a bunch of afterlifes and other equivalents in the DC multiverse. They're barely even gone, they just don't have people writing their stories.

At least it does give the spotlight to other characters, though, which is something I can appreciate. I mean, that's really the purpose these days. Not really to shock or anything, just to give characters who are new, obscure, secondary or tertiary to the main heroes, or who just haven't been shown much love recently the opportunity to be major characters for a while.

Then they ruin it by having all the dead ones come back and the fun characters we got a chance to see in action go back into obscurity until the next event.
