Did MMOs messed up your life?

I started Everquest day 1 in 1999. I had never played anything online. After the first month I built a new expensive computer and switched from dial up to broadband. I worked from home so I could switch back and forth. I got to a point I was just leveling characters and selling them for 100's of dollars. One guy paid me $1000 for a naked level 50 barbarian warrior. I would say I spent at least 8 hours a day for 3 years on it. After I quit I would think about it all day for a few months. Came back years later when House of Thule came out. I played for about a week and quit. The screen now is so convoluted with the 100 hot buttons you need to play it was a huge turn off.
