Support builds and the current ‘utility spam’ situation

Many of the new support builds are not well-designed. I don't mean that they don't do what they set out to do; I mean, that they don't do it in engaging, creative or fun ways. There's very minimal engagement and interactivity within the gameplay loop to create the boons. They were rushed, design-wise to fill a role that they were not built to support, and long-term they're not something I have any desire to play.

The problem is that ArenaNet isn't creating boons in a way that is interesting or fun. It's a shallow implementation that was necessary to sate their ideals, but feels hollow. Long term many of these classes will become tedious and vapid. It's not like blasting fire fields w/ an Elementalist to grant fury (RIP) - there's zero active gameplay interaction. We've turned the AA/Spam meme into reality w/ utility skills. It's sad.
