Just finished the personal Story Quest for the first time.

While "most" if the personal story is similar or the same

Well - yes and no.

Fun fact: Dependent on what race and precise decisions you make when rolling your character, the options you pick when you're offered mission choices, and so on, there are no fewer than 314 different subsections of the various Personal Story variants in total, of which a single character only gets to see 49. That's a lot of story you haven't seen, if you've only been through everything once.

What I like is the way that different things turn up in individual stories in different ways, filling out the overall story. In "The Battle of Fort Trinity", for example, there's an object that players get to intereact with. For two characters out of three it will be the first time they've come across it, and it won't mean much; for the rest, they'll be familiar with it from when they were actively involved in acquiring it. The overall personal story is crammed with things like that.
