Surgery anxiety

Hey, I just had mine last Tuesday! I was so, so nervous the night before and the day of. I got to the hospital and was reading the tabloid magazines in the waiting room to try and distract myself from the crippling anxiety lol. My surgeon came in to draw on me and asked how I was feeling, then said I had nothing to worry about because she knew what she was doing and the results were going to look awesome. I think her confidence and her reassurance really helped, because I felt so much better. I also had great nurses who were very kind and understanding of how nervous I was.

As long as you find a good surgeon you feel comfortable with, you'll be fine! They know what they're doing. They'll take the best care of you possible.

If you're iffy with blood and needles, definitely talk to the anesthesiologist the day of surgery. Mine came in to explain to me how the anesthesia worked, then asked if I had any questions. He was super nice! I'm sure he could have accommodated me if I had issues with needles too.
