I'm afraid that when I look at some people's pictures, I don't see much difference between their first week after surgery and months later.

One thing that I didn’t fully appreciate until seeing a friend’s progress is that the nude before/after/progress photos that we usually see are from the front are great for showing nipple placement and scar healing, but not so great for tracking swelling because the widths of your breast roots stay constant (the surgery is removing projection/length, but can’t do much with the width).

You have global swelling after surgery so that you may even fit into the same bras or even need a bigger band in the weeks post op, but then, as you lose fluid in all directions the swelling is hard to visually track in traditional before/after frontal shots.

The swelling change was more noticeable with my friend because she had a goal bikini top that she was taking progress pics in and that made it more clear how the swelling was decreasing all over by how the fabric was sitting. If you have a bikini top or similar bra to take front, side and 3/4 view photos in, it might help to track changes.
