TASS: Russia - Iskander-M missile systems to be deployed in Kaliningrad region till 2018

Yanukovic was democratically elected as well and the revolution remains somewhat fishy

I know : Everything that wasn't personnally endorsed by Russia is fishy.

Though there was repression on certain parties.

Which one ? There was serious vote for the opposition bloc too, they just lost badly because everyone was pissed at russia and not entirely without Reason. I mean lets remind you what people found when they entered Yanoukovich's private park, palaces, the golden boat on his private artificial lake, the houses of his governor friends, etc :

While a lot of UA people were eating a single meal per day to save on money.

And you are honestly surprised everybody wanted to put their head on a spike when they discovered enough gold on your average governmental flower pot to build them a nice house ?

The reality for Ukraine is that they are lying in between Russia and the EU. They cannot ignore any, without hurting them significantly.

I don't think they care about hurting putin feelings anymore than Yanukovic cared about the living standards of his population.

They must know that this isn't possible without extensive autonomy for the east.

Actually i agree on that point, the invaded half of donetsk/luhansk is better of Ukraine and boxed out; because there's no way the UA should pay the tab for the russian invaders.
