I'm not sure that another badge is in order. Frankly the "Forever Free" is a pretty divisive movement already. It's not intended to be that way, but in the end it gets translated as I stand opposed to "those" modders. So, at a time such as this, where the modding community is trying to re-establish its footing from the previous disasters, I think we should avoid drawing anymore lines in the sand. At least for the time being.

With regards to creators leaving with their content, I'm not sure what the answer is. I'm as disheartened by this reality as you are, but in the end it comes down to the overall mentality of the individual as well as the community in which they exist. With modding growing in popularity each year, the parlor mentality will likely continue to grow and whenever paid mods return it will eventually become the norm (imo).

Perhaps I'm being overly pessimistic, but while I certainly wouldn't go so far as to say that modding is dying I will say that the mentality that got it to where it is today is and has been for a long time.
