there is no genuine pursuit of intellectual discussion in humanity classes

I disagreed with my prof about the motivation behind a mass shooting and used multiple statements and articles to support my claim. The prof refused to engage in conversation with me and edited out my dialog from the zoom class recording. The same prof said police brutality is the number one cause of death from young black men in America. After speaking up again, I received a couple of emails from fellow students thanking me for calling out some nonsense, but it's a shame they were too afraid to speak up themselves. I wrote my remaining essays about how terrible white people are and got an A in the class. Thankfully, this is the only class that I've had to agree with my profs point of view to secure an A. While my experience at Columbia has been mostly positive, a few TAs and professors have entirely lost touch with reality and expect you to do the same if you want the grade.
