Those of you who were once into crypto and got disillusioned, what was the final straw? Those who are still on the fence, what is keeping you there?

Environmental impact, GPU shortages, NFTs, and the endless sea of shitcoins that are just clones of one another. The amount of Wish.com versions of Doge that cropped up overnight is comical. They're not useful. They're not culturally significant. They're a speculative asset that has no actual tangible worth.

The value isn't generated by labor acting on resources to produce things that have purpose, things that people want for practical reasons in other words. That's why I couldn't bring myself to invest in it when I was on the edge. It didn't feel right to just sit around and get a modest injection of cash because other people were dumb enough to think magic internet coins are actually worth anything. It's fucking depressing, and it's a microcosm of so much wrong with the current state of the world.
