Those of you with F150/1500 Pickups, how do you deal with carrying 2100 lb camper?

We’ve got an old Northstar pop-up on our F150 (2015 alum body, 5.0 V8). Camper data plate states 1380 lbs wet. Fully loaded, we actually scale closer to 2500. We bought the base model truck to avoid as much reduction to our payload as possible. Concessions for 4x4 and small backseats (for dogs). My point is, our payload is already better than most half tons that aren’t 2-seater 2x4’s, but we still couldn’t carry the camper you’re proposing. We added E-tires and Timbrens to improve the ride, but that doesn’t change our capacity. Half tons really limit you to small pop-ups without bathroom, or some hard-to-come-by vintage hard side shells.
